I'm by no means "fat" I'm just curvier in my lower half and a bit out of shape because I don't regularly exercise. I guess I'm in a rut on what to do as I struggle with my condition and I can't find any solution. I have been to many doctors and they basically shrug their shoulders at me. I refuse to be in metformin for my condition, and they won't touch me for an ablation due to being younger than 25 and no kids. Keto was kind of a failure for me, but my mom keeps pushing me to try again. I just don't know if I can do it anymore. If I do, idk how I can make it different to make me want to stay on it. I've tried being on a whole foods diet or just lowering my sugar in take, I still feel the same as if I was on keto. Hello, I'm new to this sub, but I've been trying the ketogenic lifestyle for almost 6 months due to PCOS. My mom is also in this lifestyle and suggested to me I should try this to help with my god awful period weeks and out of control hormones. I can't take hormone birth control at all as I get severely ill from it. Honestly, I hate it and I find it very hard to stay on the wagon. I'm bored of meat and cheese, I'm always hungry, I'm sick of eating cold cuts, bacon, and Macadamia nuts (basically the same 8 foods 2-3 times a day every day). I feel the more I restrict myself of "forbidden foods" the more I want it and I have more of a binging problem then. The alternative keto foods are very expensive for me as I'm a struggling med student financially and I don't have time to cook elaborate recipes. I have fallen off recently due to said things, and my breakouts are bad, but going back down due to taking brewer's yeast and turmeric supplements. I am 5'1 and last time I checked I was 150lbs at my heaviest, but I certainly don't look it.

That being said, I don't look overweight at all. I have a pear shape body with a smaller waist, and bigger thighs/butt. I have been told by several people I look more 120ish because of my figure. (I was also mildly starving myself.. ) Prone to cystic acne, taking brewer's yeast, turmeric root, vitamins D and C, and beef liver to treat it. I have issues with my GI: acid reflux, ibs, and gastritis. Animal fats upset my stomach (as well as texture being repulsive), and this was an issue I had on keto. I am a med student living on financial aid that is rapidly drying up. I have to stick to a $50/month for food costs as I'm in a lot of debt and didn't qualify for nice student aid programs. I live with my parents, my mom is Shia-keto, but my parents are not in the position to fund my keto diet along with my mom's.
